SDC Education
Vision:
To support education and training in colour at all levels; to encourage individuals to
improve their professional status and seek recognition through the Society's scheme of qualifications;
to engender an awareness of the nature of colour and coloration among the community at large.
Encouraging and aiding the professional development of all its members is at the very heart of the SDC's philosophy. The Society's range of qualifications is designed to offer members the opportunity to advance their professional knowledge and vocational skills, from examinations leading to Chartered Colourist status to continuing professional development (CPD), and much more. It offers a wide range of informative short and long-term knowledge based courses international or by distance learning, workshops and tutorials to both members, non-members, companies and industry in all relevant fields of coloration.
Training
The delivery of education and training may also take place in the Society's modern purpose built Colour Centre in Bradford where lecture rooms, workshops and laboratories are used to impart knowledge and training in colour related activities. Tuition on specific topics is also available at individual companies' premises, subject to sufficient demand. Currently, the Society provides colour courses internationally at Beijing (China), New Delhi (India) and Colombo (Sri Lanka).
