Regionally, nationally and internationally, we offer a varied programme of events. Our events aim to inspire, stimulate and help you keep up to date with the latest thinking and best practice. They also offer great networking opportunities. Where possible, we also make papers and presentations available online.
As the world’s leading educational charity dedicated to advancing the science of colour worldwide, the SDC encourages the creative and inspired use of colour in fashion and textile design and is a committed supporter of the next generation of young designers. In 2012 we are running the following competitions:
The SDC International Design Competition. first launched in 2002, and attracting entries from hundreds of students worldwide. Open to fashion and textile design students.

CSI Colour Award - also open to fashion and textile design students.
Also taking place in 2012 is a new competition - the KK Bespoke Schoolwear competition, which is open to students and recent graduates in Ireland.
