Colour Index Registration
To register products for the Colour Index Fourth Edition Online you must complete a registration form and return it to the Colour Index Officer by post or fax.
Copies of the registration form and accompanying notes are available on the downloads section of this site.
The Society (in collaboration with the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists) own the copyright to the Colour Index system of nomenclature, including C.I. Generic Names and C.I. Constitution Numbers. Only products listed in the Colour Index database have authorisation to use the system.
The notes also include information on the chemical classes, application classes, hue terms and physical form terms that are acceptable.
